Apprenticeships and Mentoring.

Apprentices

At Priddy we pride ourselves on the quality of training and support we give to all our apprentices. The apprentices have their own mentor who visits them on a regular basis, this is to ensure they are progressing to their best of their ability, check they are being supported on site or in the office, as well as linking up with their colleges to ensure they are progressing well on their course.

Mentoring

All apprentices also have access to 1:1 mentoring. As we all know life can be stressful at times, both at work and home and these are confidential sessions where the apprentices can speak freely and be truly listened too.

Supervisor

Every apprentice also has a supervisor, the supervisor’s role is to teach the apprentice all the knowledge and skills they will need to become a competent tradesman or engineer. Apprentices will also develop many other skills, such as time management, organisational skills, interpersonal skills, responsibility and self-confidence.

Work Experience

Priddy takes on a large number of work experience placements throughout the year, this gives students the opportunity to see what job opportunities there are within building industry and to give them a real experience of what life is like either within the office or on site. The placements range from one-day a week placement, to 3-week summer placements.
